LEGAL
Terms of Use
Effective / last updated: October 10, 2026
About these terms
CACHE Blog is an editorial, educational and resource website operated by CACHE Apps Inc.
CACHE Blog serves readers across Canada, including all provinces and territories. Particular resources may address a specific jurisdiction, as identified in the resource.
In these terms, “CACHE Blog”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to CACHE Apps Inc. solely in its capacity as the operator of CACHE Blog.
These Terms of Use govern your access to CACHE Blog and its articles, newsletters, guides, content hubs, calculators, interactive tools, templates, downloadable resources and generated documents, collectively referred to as the “Services”.
Please read these terms before using the Services. By using the Services after having a reasonable opportunity to review these terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
Additional terms may apply to a particular feature. Where expressly identified, those additional terms govern that feature if they conflict with these terms.
Information and education, not professional advice
The Services provide general information, education and planning resources. They do not constitute financial, investment, accounting, tax, legal, employment or other professional advice.
Content and results do not take account of every aspect of your personal or business circumstances. Examples, suggested amounts, projections and illustrations are not recommendations or guarantees of any particular outcome.
Before making decisions, entering transactions, issuing documents or completing filings, evaluate whether the information is appropriate for your circumstances and obtain advice from a qualified professional where appropriate.
Calculators and interactive tools
CACHE Blog tools support planning and informed decision-making. Results depend on the information you enter, the tool’s stated assumptions and the calculation methods it uses.
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and appropriate inputs, selecting the correct jurisdiction and period where applicable, and reviewing the results before using them.
Tools may use simplified assumptions, rounding, selected categories or standard calculation methods. They may not account for all exceptions, fees, exemptions, contractual terms, tax treatments or individual circumstances.
A projection does not guarantee a future result. A loan calculation is not a financing offer or lender approval. A budget, rate suggestion or profitability calculation does not guarantee income, savings or business performance.
Tool-specific explanations and notices form part of the information you should review before relying on a result.
Tax, payroll and regulatory information
Tax rates, payroll deductions, thresholds, deadlines and legal requirements can vary by jurisdiction and change over time.
Where a tool identifies a tax year, effective date or jurisdiction, its results are intended for that stated context. Do not assume that a result applies to another period or location.
Verify applicable requirements against current official sources before filing, remitting, paying employees or issuing tax-related documents. Unless a feature expressly states otherwise, using a CACHE Blog tool does not submit a filing, remit a payment or establish compliance with a government requirement.
You remain responsible for your business’s reporting, payment, recordkeeping and other obligations.
Templates, downloads and generated documents
Templates and generated documents provide a starting point for your own use. You are responsible for reviewing and, where necessary, adapting them before issuing, signing, sharing or relying on them.
Check names, addresses, descriptions, dates, calculations, taxes, registration details, payment terms and other information relevant to the document.
Creating an invoice, estimate, receipt, pay statement or similar document does not, by itself, establish that a transaction occurred, payment was received, employment obligations were satisfied or the document meets every applicable legal requirement. A generated estimate or template is not automatically a binding contract.
You may use and modify resources expressly offered for download or generation for your legitimate personal and business purposes, including sharing completed documents with customers, employees and advisers.
Unless a resource expressly permits otherwise, you may not resell or redistribute our blank templates or tools as a competing product, claim ownership of our underlying materials, or remove required attribution.
Any attribution or production credit on a document generated through CACHE Blog identifies the tool or provider used. It does not represent CACHE Blog’s approval, verification or endorsement of your document or transaction.
No professional or fiduciary relationship
Reading content, using a tool, downloading a resource, subscribing to a newsletter or contacting CACHE Blog does not create an adviser-client, accountant-client, lawyer-client, fiduciary or similar professional relationship with the operator of CACHE Blog.
General responses to enquiries do not constitute individualized professional advice.
Your decisions and responsibilities
You are responsible for decisions and actions you take using the Services, including verifying inputs and results, keeping appropriate records and obtaining required authorizations.
Do not use the Services to create false, misleading or fraudulent documents, misrepresent a transaction or payment, evade obligations, or infringe another person’s rights.
Where you enter information about another person or business, you must have the authority and lawful basis to use that information.
Privacy and information submitted
The CACHE Blog Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain our applicable information-handling practices. These terms do not replace those policies or any consent required by law.
Provide only information reasonably necessary for the feature you are using. Do not submit passwords, authentication codes, payment-card security codes or other unnecessary sensitive information.
A tool may process information in your browser or use other processing described for that feature. Do not assume that every feature has the same storage, retention or privacy behaviour.
You are responsible for protecting documents you download and for considering the privacy and security consequences of sharing them.
Newsletters and communications
Newsletter content is subject to the same informational limitations as website content.
Subscriptions and marketing communications are handled through the consent and unsubscribe mechanisms provided. These terms do not independently constitute consent to receive marketing communications.
We do not guarantee delivery of every message, and newsletters should not be relied upon as your sole source of reminders about financial, tax or legal deadlines.
Intellectual property and permitted use
Unless otherwise stated, the Services and their original content, branding, designs, software and materials are owned by or licensed to the operator of CACHE Blog.
You may access public content, share links and use resources within the permissions described in these terms or accompanying a resource. Nothing in these terms limits uses permitted by applicable copyright law.
Except as permitted, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit substantial portions of the Services without written permission.
You may not present CACHE Blog branding or content in a way that suggests an affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement that does not exist.
Acceptable use
You must use the Services lawfully and without compromising their security or operation.
You may not:
Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, administrative interfaces or non-public information.
Introduce malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities or interfere with security controls.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or authority.
Harass others or submit unlawful, abusive or infringing material.
Use automated access that materially burdens the Services or bypasses access restrictions.
Extract substantial portions of the Services for resale, competing databases or commercial AI training without permission.
Use the Services to facilitate fraud or other unlawful conduct.
Ordinary sharing and reasonable search-engine indexing consistent with our published access instructions are permitted.
Third-party content, links and services
The Services may include external links, embedded content, third-party references or information supplied by contributors.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, security, content or performance. You are responsible for evaluating them before use.
A reference or link does not, by itself, constitute endorsement or a guarantee of suitability. Where applicable, commercial relationships will be disclosed as required by law.
An author’s or contributor’s views do not necessarily represent CACHE Blog’s views.
Availability, updates and corrections
We may update, correct, reorganize or discontinue content or features. Access may be interrupted by maintenance, security measures, technical issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Content reflects its stated context and publication or update date, where provided. We do not undertake to update every article, archived resource or previously generated document whenever circumstances change.
Keep copies of information or documents you need. The Services are not a substitute for your own records, backups or required recordkeeping systems.
Disclaimer of warranties
We aim to provide useful, dependable resources. However, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis without warranties or conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, concerning uninterrupted availability, completeness, currency, suitability for a particular purpose or particular outcomes.
We do not warrant that a resource or result will address every circumstance, remain current indefinitely or satisfy every requirement applicable to your use.
Nothing in this section excludes a warranty, condition or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of CACHE Blog and its directors, officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from access to, use of, or inability to use the Services.
This includes loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, anticipated savings or data, whether a claim arises in contract, tort, including negligence, or otherwise, even if the possibility of such loss was brought to our attention.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses attributable to inaccurate or incomplete information you provide, use outside a tool’s stated assumptions, failure to verify applicable requirements, unauthorized modification of a resource, or third-party services outside our control.
These limitations do not apply to fraud or willful misconduct by the operator of CACHE Blog, or to liability, rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
Business-user indemnity
If you use the Services on behalf of a business, then, to the extent permitted by law, that business agrees to indemnify the operator of CACHE Blog against reasonable losses, liabilities and legal costs arising from third-party claims caused by its unlawful use of the Services, infringement of third-party rights or material breach of these terms.
This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from the operator of CACHE Blog’s own negligence, fraud or wilful misconduct. It does not require a business to indemnify the operator of CACHE Blog merely because a tool produces an outcome the business did not expect.
Separate CACHE Apps services
CACHE Blog and the CACHE Apps financial application are related but distinct services.
Application accounts, subscriptions, payments, integrations, financial-product features and other application services are governed by their applicable agreements. These CACHE Blog terms do not replace those agreements or alter rights and obligations under them.
Suspension or restriction of access
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements or a material breach of these terms.
Any restriction remains subject to applicable law and does not remove rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing law and protected rights across Canada
Subject to mandatory laws that apply to you, these terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Where applicable law prohibits this choice of law or requires another province’s or territory’s laws to apply, those requirements take precedence.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the courts of Alberta have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these terms. This does not prevent you from using a court, tribunal, regulator or complaint process available to you under mandatory law, including in your home province or territory.
Nothing in these terms waives consumer protections, privacy rights or other rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be waived. Where a provision conflicts with a mandatory legal protection that applies to you, that protection takes precedence.
Changes and general provisions
We may revise these terms. The effective date identifies the applicable version. Where required by law, or appropriate for a material change, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
Changes are not intended to retroactively remove rights relating to events that occurred before the change took effect.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later.
Provisions concerning intellectual property, permitted use of downloaded materials, disclaimers, liability, applicable indemnities and dispute handling continue to apply where relevant after you stop using the Services.
